Houghton Lake Fishing Report

June 30, 2009 June was a great month for fishing. Some of the best walleye and bluegill in years! Stop by the store and get the latest spots for the best fishing.
Walleye: |
|
Holly & Mary |
Bluegills:
Some of the biggest bluegill and sunfish I've ever seen in years. 10" plus! Leafworms and crawlers are doing good, wax worms on a tear drop work very well too. Best fishing is still 4' to 8' in or around the weedbeds. Some guys are drifting but that gets a little tougher as the weeds start growing.
